Blueprint of the Lagos-Badagry
Expressway
The Federal Government has finally given the Lagos State Government the nod to continue work on the expansion of the Lagos-Badagry expressway into a 10-lane highway. Commenting on the accord reached with the LASG, the Minister of State for Works, Chris Ogiemwonyi said the FG will cede to the state's request as long as it has enough funds to see off the project and keep to its highway specification. There had been issues of approval and concession over the road project before President Goodluck Jonathan came on board.
